Marine Education has been established for many years in Poole Harbour with a focus on personal watercraft (‘jetski’), powerboat and shorebased training.

Established over ten years ago by Candi Abbott (Author of the RYA Personal Watercraft Handbook) Marine Education is based at Port of Poole Marina as close to the centre of the wonderful Poole Harbour as its possible to get. With a clear focus on safe and fun training the school schedules regular RYA Personal Watercraft Proficiency and RYA Personal Watercraft Instructor courses using its Yamaha Waverunner PWs. Our RYA Powerboat Level 2 courses are runs on our Ribcraft 7.8m RIB and Jeanneau Cap Camarat 6.5CC both powered by Yamaha.

With a wide range of clients from those starting out with PWs and powerboats to those seeking to head further afield or working commercially we’re always happy to structure training plans to suit all needs.

One of the joys of training in Poole Harbour is the shear volume of activity in the harbour.

With cross channel ferries, Sunseekers on trial, the RNLI training vessels running crew courses, military vessels transiting the harbour and literally hundreds of leisure craft out and about – what a great location to learn in!

Such a busy harbour creates a really good environment to develop your skills in as if you can handle Poole Harbour then you can boat just about anywhere.
