With everything heading onto websites, forums, FB groups and the likes it’s easy to overlook the real quality that’s still available through the printed media. Within the UK boating arena there are only two boating magazines and only one that’s focussed on the sort of vessels that inhabit the marinas we tend to train in – and that’s Powerboat and RIB Magazine.
The magazine has been around for 20+ years and focuses mainly on craft up to about 15m however its not just about boat tests as there are loads of articles about exploring in your boat, boating kit and even how to develop your skills – from your very own Powerboat Training UK Instructors! It’s this breadth of coverage that really sets the magazine apart which is why we were delighted to partner with PB&R to be able to give our UK resident customers a free copy of the printed magazine for a year. Overseas and UK customers can sign up to the electronic version.
So how does this work?
Very simply! Basically around the time of your course we send you a link to ‘buy’ 12 months subscription to the magazine. We also give you the code so that it’s free. There is no need for your credit card details but of course you will need to give them name and address. In a year your subscription (7 issues) expires and PB&R hope that you will then sign up for a paid version.
