About this course
Want to increase the amount of experience you have afloat at night or even just go afloat for the first time in the dark and experience night navigation? Whichever describes you best, our night navigation sessions are a great and cost effective way to get afloat in one of the most challenging night navigation locations in the UK.
Literally tonnes of lights, very shallow waters and narrow channels make Poole Harbour a great place to learn. Go afloat on our fully coded Ribcraft 7.8m RIBs with Raymarine and Garmin plotters on board led by our highly experienced Advanced Instructors who know the harbour really well. Sessions are only £90 inc VAT per head (max 3 people) for 3 hours training and don’t require you to have any night navigation experience or theory qualifications as these sessions are open to all.
We are aiming these sessions at two types of powerboater: 1) Those with no night experience who just want to get afloat at night and experience what its like. 2) Those who are progressing to the advanced exam and so need to develop their night navigation skills.
When you book you will get Joining Instructions which give you the details about some planning you can undertake ahead of the evening. There is no requirement to do this and you can simply come out under the guidance of our advanced instructor if you wish.
