We fully understand that there are plenty of schools out there to choose from so we are delighted that you chose us. As your Instructor will have explained please do not hesitate to contact us with questions on any aspects of boating in the weeks, months or even years ahead – we love chatting boats!
As our instructors might have mentioned, now you are able finished your Level 2 course you can apply for your International Certificate of Competence. Please follow this link to download the form.
Here are some ideas of courses to help you develop your skills and knowledge…
| If you haven’t booked a VHF course yet then we would strongly advise you consider doing so. There is a special offer available reducing the price substantially from £100 to £75 (plus RYA fee) for those that book the course at the time of booking their Level 2 course or in the few weeks after attending the course. This can either be online or in the classroom. |  |
| The next practical course above Level 2 is the Intermediate Powerboat Course. This is a really great course that gives you the theory and practical skills to be able to make slightly longer passages than you would have undertaken on the Level 2 course and is known as the ‘Powerboat Day Cruising’ course for good reason. This can also be done on your own boat or ours. |  |
| If you enjoyed the theory side of the course (charts, tides, buoyage etc) but want to learn more then you should consider the Essential Navigation & Seamanship Course. |  |
| Those who want even greater knowledge should look at the Dayskipper Theory course. This is a 5 day course focussed on ensuring that you have the theoretical knowledge of subjects such as charts, tides, navigation, buoyage etc coupled to an understanding of how to create passage plans and pilotage plans from this information to undertake safe coastal trips. This can be online or in the classroom. |  |
