Training UK make no claims to be the cheapest school on the South Coast, that
said, shop around and you will find we are by no means the most expensive
either. Hopefully, you will form a view from this site on our professionalism
and approach to training. Do feel free to call us or pop in to meet us and see
our craft and facilities before deciding whether to train with us.
As with anything
in life the reality is that you get what you pay for, our courses are run by
Instructors for whom powerboating is not a job but a passion, the courses are
run in a highly professional training environment that runs throughout the year
and we have first rate facilities, kit and boats – after all if you are going
to invest a fair amount we feel you should receive an outstanding course.
Our prices include use of our waterproofs and
lifejackets, on some courses provision of the RYA Powerboat Logbook and RYA
Powerboat Handbook for Powerboat Level 2 courses or RYA Motor Cruising Logbook
and RYA Motor Cruising Handbook /Motor Cruising Helmsman and Dayskipper courses.
Our prices also include VAT AND - most of the time (the price list states
where otherwise) - all fuel costs - this is often a hidden and very expensive
extra (Prices effective 1st January 2008).
If you have taken a course with us before then all
future courses attract a 10% discount. If you haven't been to us before and
there are two of you attending you get 5% off and if there are three or more of
you you get 10% off.
Further discounts are available for some bespoke courses
and for group bookings.
If you can
afford the time then it can be very beneficial to add an extra day or two onto a
course to allow practical application of what has been learnt. For example after
a Level Two course we could plan a passage then undertake it to a harbour some
distance away, alternatively we could simply spend the day practising mooring
and coming alongside pontoons. We can also construct courses according to your
needs. These could largely follow an RYA course but concentrate on a particular
area or perhaps focus exclusively on one area of interest to you. You could join
us for days or perhaps just a few hours. Please call to discuss your needs and
the associated prices.
Hopefully
this price list is self explanatory and simple. Inevitably there will always be
some training scenarios not perfectly covered by this price list so do not
hesitate to contact us to discuss your needs. Discounts are available for
bookings for a number of people or where you are committing to undertake a
volume of courses with us.
