An option for those with access to their own craft is to undertake training
on that craft rather than a school boat.
You can either undertake training based around RYA courses or we can structure a
bespoke course for you addressing the particular areas that you wish to deal
with.
Often we are able to do a bit of both by spending some extra time within a
Powerboat Level 2 course on (for example) the launch and recovery of your new
boat or how to get to grips with the chartplotter that you have on board.
We are also able to spend time looking at the safety equipment that you have giving impartial advice that can help you make the most of it whilst
giving realistic advice on what items you might consider buying.
As an added benefit you will find that Own Boat Training is generally more cost
effective with the obvious added benefit that by training on your craft 100% of
what we cover is relevant to your particular needs.
It should go without saying that we always ensure that the Instructor that works with you is an expert on the
type of craft that you have.
What you need to do now. Depending on what boat you have and what course that
you think you require review the relevant sections of this website
Powerboat Courses (generally <10m) or
Motor Boat Courses (generally >10m) to get a
better idea on the course then contact us to arrange a date that suits.
We're always happy to chat about courses on your boat so please do not hesitate to call/email.
