RNLI Membership FREE for a year with our courses

Back in October 2010 we were delighted to announce that Powerboat Training UK had been invited by the RNLI to be the first RYA Training Centre to become a RNLI Ambassador. The idea behind the Ambassador Scheme is that companies with a close association to the RNLI  offer free Introductory membership to clients attending courses or buying certain products.

Given our long relationship with the RNLI we were keen to embrace this and in 2011 were told that of all the companies working as part of the Ambassador Scheme we were the most successful. We were well chuffed!

About the scheme and what it means when you attend a course with us:

What does this mean in practice? Clients booking courses with us will receive a 1 year’s Introductory Membership  to the RNLI - at no cost and with no commitment. (No financial details are recorded whatsoever).

What is Introductory Membership? It's a 1 year introductory membership to Offshore, the RNLI membership package designed for all those that go to sea. RNLI Offshore Membership normally costs £64 so it’s a great way to introduce you to the RNLI so you can decide later whether to sign up yourself.

Why is this good for the RNLI? They will write to each person who has signed up to the Introductory Membership after a year and hope that you choose to sign up as a member for the annual fee. There is no obligation to do so.

I'm a member already - do I miss out on this offer? No. If you are a member already then you can pass on the offer to a friend or family member.

What's the catch? Absolutely nothing! Really? Yep!

Why are PTUK so proud of becoming an Ambassador? We are proud of our relationship with the RNLI and the close ties that we have with the Lifeboat College. We hope that we can help the RNLI to attract new members over the medium to long term by showing them first hand the great work performed across the UK and Ireland. The fact that the RNLI chose us as their first RYA Training Centre understandably made us pretty chuffed!
